+ Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension

Begin with the Our Father.
Read each verse, then say the Hail Mary.
At the end of the decade, say the Glory Be.
Optionally, finish with the Fatima Prayer below.

1 After his passion, Jesus had presented himself alive to the apostles by many proofs.

2 He appeared to them during forty days and spoke to them about the kingdom of God.

3 When they were gathered together, he ordered them not to leave Jerusalem.

4 He said, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and then you will be my witnesses to the farthest ends of the earth.”

5 Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.

6 He was lifted up as they looked on, and a cloud took him from their sight.

7 While he was departing as they gazed upward toward the sky, suddenly two men dressed in white robes stood beside them.

9 They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking up into the sky?”

10 “This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”

The Fatima Prayer: O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of your mercy.
