1. The Nativity
“While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:6-7)
The Nativity (Luke 2:1-20)
According to St. Luke's gospel, Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born in a humble stable. Angels announced his birth to shepherds, who came to worship him.
The Birth in Bethlehem (Micah 5:1-5)
The Prophet Micah referred to a future ruler who will come from the town of Bethlehem and bring peace to the people. This prophecy is understood by Christians as a prediction of the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem.
